Open Day Shooting Report

We were giving the task of shoot our college open day and edit the footage that we shot so we could produce a video for the college website. we were split into groups of five. I was in the group with Fergal, Brian, Gavin, Sanjo.
We got into our groups and decided what the roles were and what questions would be asked.
I was the interviewer, the rest of the group is as follows:
Fergal and Brian - Camera
Sanjo - Photographer
Gavin - Editor
After we had decided our roles, We planed out the questions, there was three questions for students and three questions for students.
Questions for students,
Q1:What made you choose O Fiaich?
Q2:What do you think of facilities?
Q3:Whats your future goal after O Fiaich?
Questions for teachers,
Q1:Whats involved in the course?
Q2:What are the benefits of doing a PLC before going to third level college?
Q3:How would you encourage students to take part in this course?
With the questions done, all we had to do was to wait for the open day.

The open day had arrived. We got into our and started filming, we used different types of shots that we learned from class. We used an extreme long shot to show the college in it's entirety, We used long shots when we're shooting in the class rooms to show everything about them, For the interviews we used medium close up shots. The most trouble that we had during our shoot was the sound in the main hall where the stand were, it was hard to communicate with fellow students part of that might have been the distance between us and the channel of communication was being distorted by the noise of other people talking. I was the encoder, trying to send info that I wanted to communicate with the receiver but they must understand what I'm trying to send to them at the end of the communication channel.  We solved that problem by speaking more clearly, loudly to the other person and we got them to do the same for us.

They equipment that we used:

1: DSLR Camera
2: Flip Camera
3: Batteries for the cameras

Overall the day was successful because we got some good shots and we interviewed someone from every class.
